These recordings were never officially released by iNsoFar. They are preserved here as part of the iNsoFar Archive. Recording quality varies, and in some cases the surviving recording is the only known copy.
Writing
Status: Unreleased studio recording
Recorded at Animal Farm Studios during the same sessions as The Fall and Drowning. Although originally written before Paul joined the band, it was re-recorded by the later lineup. Despite being a fully produced studio recording, it was never officially released.
Little Death
Status: Unreleased Demo
Preserved as part of the iNsoFar Archive. Little Death existed in two versions during its development: one featuring an opening sample and another without it. There was internal debate within the band over which version worked best, but the song was ultimately never officially released. Here is with and without sample.
Ophidia
Status: Unreleased Demo
Preserved as part of the iNsoFar Archive. Ophidia is one of a small number of surviving demo recordings from the band’s archive. No evidence has been found that the song progressed beyond the demo stage or was officially released.
Scissor Love
Status: Unreleased Demo
Recording preserved as part of the iNsoFar Archive. Scissor Love survives only as a demo recording. The only known surviving copy contains a brief audio glitch near the beginning of the track, which has been left unaltered to preserve the original recording.
JM
Status: Unreleased Demo
Lyrics written in response to a negative review by J.M. Marshall, who criticised the band’s lyrics, saying they “could’ve been written by primary school kids.” Rather than ignore the criticism, the band incorporated the quote into the song itself. The track was never officially released.
